Lead Designer
Interior design is a work and personal interest of mine and I have been with Gresswell and Demco Interiors for over 20 years working as part of a team designing and creating library interiors. I was the Lead Designer for the award winning Library of Birmingham which took up a large part of my working life for over two years – now I look back proudly at the wonderful space everyone created.
I work closely with clients in university, public and academic libraries to bring their vision to life and quite literally create extraordinary spaces out of ordinary places. I enjoy building relationships with local authorities so that I can really get beneath the skin of a library design project.
I’m a country girl at heart and when not at work love walking, Munro ‘bagging’ and enjoying the countryside. I am horse mad and have my own beautiful bay horse – Wellington – there’s nothing more enjoyable than Welly and I getting out for a long bracing ride up in the hills where I live, in beautiful Highland Perthshire.
My favorite book(s) would be Jilly Cooper Polo and Riders – my guilty pleasure and the only books I have read more than once!!
